Welcome To The High Desert of Southern California!
Ridgecrest, CA

Ridgecrest is a small desert community, where the sun (almost) always shines, the sky is blue,
the air is clean, and the wildflowers are abundant in the Spring.
We are located in the high region of the Mojave Desert. We are the hub for many outdoor activities,
camping in the High Sierras Nevada’s, lake, river & stream fishing within about an hours drive,
several ghost towns to explore, backpacking, hiking the John Muir Trail, biking,
lots of unique four wheeling back country to explore, Petroglyph tours,
Wildflower tours in the Spring, and just the uniqueness of the desert itself.

We are the gateway to the Trona Pinnacles, home to the movie, “Planet Of The Apes” (20 miles east),
Death Valley (61 miles east), Red Rock Canyon State Park (31 miles west),  the Panimints,
Mt. Whitney (80 miles north), Randsburg Mining District, Manzanar National Historic Site,
and the annual Lone Pine Film Festival (60 miles north). A little further up the road you will find camping,
boating & fishing at Mammoth Lakes, Convict Lake, Lake Diaz, Bishop (120 miles north) & more.
You will also find hiking, backpacking, biking, water skiing, snow skiing & snow boarding.

Ridgecrest also has two well known museums, Maturango Museum, and the
US Naval Museum Of Armament & Technology at NWAS China Lake.

You will also find Ridgecrest Cinemas, an eight cinema theater, several restaurants, and every fast
food chain imaginable, several top chain hotels & motels, a Bed & Breakfast, and several RV parks.
